Montserrat from the sky

Montserrat from the sky

The Montserrat mountain is, without a doubt, the most unique and highly-prized mountain in Catalonia. The massif is over 10 km in length and 5 in width, formed by conglomerates that evolved geologically to form imposing figures that leave nobody indifferent, all named after their infinite shapes, and with large caves, potholes and gullies in their shelter. This natural park, which emerges as if from a dream, protects the spiritual essence of Catalonia. For almost 1,000 years, a Benedictine community has lived in these mountains located 60 km away from Barcelona. Their Basilica houses the serene image of the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia. Flying over this mountain is doubtlessly one of the most surprising and impressive experiences anyone could have. During the flight you can also enjoy views of the Sant Llorenç de Munt i l’Obac Natural Park and the Montseny Massif. For more information: BG Helicopters
