Grand Hotel Central, a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Virtuoso, reopened in 2024 after an extensive and meticulous refurbishment. The transformation, led by the London-based design studio Sagrada, draws inspiration from the building’s rich history and its visionary founder, Francesc Cambó — an influential Catalan politician and esteemed patron of the arts.
Ideally located on the iconic Vía Laietana, at the heart of Barcelona’s vibrant El Born neighbourhood, the hotel now features 147 redesigned rooms and suites, the lively street-level restaurant Can Bo Vins & Tapes, and a spectacular rooftop oasis, La Terraza del Central. Here, guests can sip cocktails while taking in panoramic views of the Old Town, relax on Balinese beds, swim in the infinity pool, or dine as resident DJs set the perfect soundtrack for unforgettable evenings.
Additional highlights include a spa with hammam and sauna, a fitness centre overlooking the Gothic Quarter, and a historic library preserving Cambó’s personal literary collection.
